Porcelain Veneers
Your smile is the first thing people look at when they first meet you. Why not look your best with custom designed dental veneers?
Porcelain veneers are used to cover only the front of your teeth, providing the appearance of straighter, whiter, teeth without the need for full coverage crowns. For people with worn, crooked, or stained teeth, veneers are an excellent option to achieve the smile they’ve always desired.
Patients often ask, “Will I need to have my teeth shaved down in order to get porcelain veneers?”
Answer: Actually, in many cases, veneers can be used with little to no tooth structure removal. However, if your teeth “stick out” or are significantly rotated, our doctors are able to “shave down” a small portion of your natural teeth to make room for a newer, straighter, and brighter look. The only way to determine what will work for you is to schedule an initial new patient consultation.
“What would it be like to actually have porcelain veneers made?”
First Step
If you think you may be interested in porcelain veneers to improve the look of your teeth, notify us at your next appointment, or call us to schedule your new patient consultation.
During your first visit, our highly trained team will take a few pictures of your current teeth and upload them into our personal design software. Then our in-house digital technician will digitally scan your teeth with our 3D CAD/CAM scanning technology and send off your file to a certified lab technician to design your case. Soon after, we’ll have a digital work-up of what your new smile will look like.
Smile Trial
If you haven’t completely made up your mind about investing in Veneers, you can pay a small fee to get the feel for what real veneers would be like. Our qualified lab technician will digitally design and fabricate a custom set of temporary porcelain veneers made for you to wear for a few days to decide if veneers are what you really want. One week later at your Smile Trial appointment, your doctor will temporarily cement your new veneers. Just remember, the Smile Trial Veneers are only meant to last a few days, so make sure to schedule your next appointment within a few days. This is a great way to “Try before you buy” and show off your new look before you commit.
Second Step
At your actual Veneer appointment (which could be at your first visit), your doctor will make minimal modifications to your current teeth to prepare them for your new look. A second 3D digital scan will then be used to fabricate your veneers while you wait.
Final Step
Shortly after, your doctor will permanently bond your final veneers. Each porcelain veneer is precisely placed and polished to perfection. The next step is for you to go out and show off the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
